The Pain Treatment Strategy for Instant Results 1
The Pain Treatment Strategy for Instant Results (Beginning Balance Method)
This course provides the basic training on the Five Systems of the Balance method and serves as pre-requisite to further advanced courses. The Five Systems explain why the points in Dr. Tan's two books, "Twelve and Twelve in Acupuncture" and "Twenty Four More in Acupuncture" are so clinically effective.
In the Balance Method, distal points are used exclusively, meaning no local points are needled to balance a pain-related or internal pathology. The systems are rooted in the concept of healing the body by balancing meridians. This balance is explained using I-Ching theory. A detailed and logical discussion of the eight trigrams will form the foundation of the class. The Biao-Li, Zang-Fu and Chinese
Clocks relationships can all be explained via the Five Systems. The systems contain logical processes for determination of the meridian to needle and an easy-to-use dynamic format to outline the treatment. Most participants will be able to apply the concepts immediately in practice and develop effective treatments.
Then, a detailed explanation of the Mirroring and Imaging Formats will follow to assist participants in effective point selection. Over the years, emphasis on simplification of the Mirroring and Imaging Formats has made these concepts more accessible to practitioners. Dr. Tan will always share numerous case studies from his clinical practice to assist participants in understanding the Balance Method. Finally, hands-on demonstration will allow attendees to see the Balance Method in a practical format.
